February -2021 Sustainability Phase Students Selected

The qualifying exam to select students for the ETSI’s Sustainability Phase was conducted successfully at three sites—Drepung, Sera, and Gaden on February 5, and 60 plus monastics are being selected. The selected monastics, including former Tenzin Gyatso Science Scholars, will receive intensive training in science pedagogy in the summer and research methodology and design in winter. They will be mentored by the Graduate Science Teachers hired to support all aspects of the monastery science education programs. The trainees will also receive support from the ETSI faculty leaders and the community of more than one hundred science faculty from as many academic and research institutions across the US.
