The Emory-Tibet Partnership facilitates the efforts of two dynamic student organizations working to create positive change on both the individual and global levels.
CHINA-TIBET INITIATIVE
The China-Tibet initiative is the first student-led group in the country with the specific goal of creating friendships and opportunities for dialogue between Chinese and Tibetan students. The club strives to break down political barriers in order to achieve meaningful connections and hopes to inspire Chinese and Tibetan students on campuses worldwide to reach out to one another in friendship. The China-Tibet Initiative won the 2014 New Student Organization of the Year Award at Emory’s annual Leadership, Service, and Diversity Awards. Students of all backgrounds are welcome to become members. Geshe Lobsang Tenzin Negi serves as faculty advisor.
